Raspberry Hot Chocolate

There is nothing quite as comforting as whipping together a fresh cup of homemade hot chocolate. Simple ingredients, combined with the Raspberry Rose Preserve, makes this hot chocolate decadent. Whisk while you add the hot water and you’ll create a lovely froth on the top, the raspberry adds character and the rose is present on the nose, while creating a subtle surprise to the taste. Make and enjoy often.

Serves 1


  • 1 ½ Tbsp coco powder (Dutch processed is best)

  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp whipping cream
  • 2 tsp Raspberry Rose Preserve
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 Tbsp (1 shot) Amber Rum (optional)


  • In a large mug, add the coco and sugar. Using a small whisk, whisk together until no lumps remain. Pour in the cream and add the jam, whisk to create a smooth paste.

  • Top with the boiling water and whisk to combine and create a light froth, top with rum if desired. Serve immediately.
